The field of integral research has evolved to a point where it now stands poised to evaluate itself, critically and appreciatively, and in so doing to embody the transparency that lies at the heart of what it means to be post-metaphysical and integrative. This consciously engaged evolution depends chiefly on what might be called “relentless self-exploration” within the field—thus, scholars and practitioners in the Wilberian tradition of integral meta-study, as pioneers in one lineage of integral research, have much to contribute and much to gain as participants in this unfolding process. Fostering a robust discourse around integral research rests in large part on maintaining an evolving awareness of the many perspectives and approaches in this expanding terrain—of which Ronnie Lessem and Alexander Schieffers Integral Research is one particularly well-developed exemplar.
