This policy is enacted in order to ensure that MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc. has the flexibility to build the capacities to fulfill its long-term goals and objectives.

The policy terms and conditions stated herein supplement and supersede any statements made elsewhere on this website. In cases where this policy may seem to conflict with statements made elsewhere, this policy is the definitive statement of the current policy of MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc.

Through the MetaIntegral Foundation website we allow our donors to select those programs and initiatives that matter most to them. We will use this information to allocate resources among our programs, funds, and endowments but we reserve the right to use these funds at our discretion depending on the relative needs and expenses of our organization. MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to move all funds received between programs and classifications as required to meet the needs of the organization.  This is especially critical during our start-up and capacity-building stages. Over the long-term we expect to be able to match fund allocations to donor selections.

    1. MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc. will balance the need to fund important integral projects in the short term with the need to build principal in a permanent endowment that can support integral projects over the long term. To this end, we have set as a goal over the next three years to offer grants in the amount of $250,000 per year to worthy integral projects. These amounts will be funded from the principal of the Integral Planet Endowment (IPE) to the extent the income generated from the IPE falls short of that amount. Donations and revenue above those amounts will be invested as principal in a permanent endowment. At the end of that three-year period the Board of MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc. will review this policy and determine the proper ratio of the IPE fund to be used in funding current-year projects versus the amount to be used to build the principal base of the IPE.
    2. Integral Academic Fund (IAF): Ten per cent (10%) of the Integral Planet Endowment will be dedicated to fund academic programs. Fifty per cent (50%) of donations directed to the IAF and related academic programs through our website will go towards funding current year grants, with the remainder to be added to the principal balance of the IAF.

The funds received in response to all online fundraising campaigns are subject to the terms of this policy.

The Board of Directors of MetaIntegral Foundation, Inc. in conjunction with the Development Director will review this policy, at least, annually, and revise it as they deem necessary.
