Michael Schwartz

Michael Schwartz received his PhD from Columbia University. He is Professor of the History and Philosophy of Art at Augusta State University in the University of Georgia System, teaching a ramified curriculum of study in integral art history and philosophy or art to undergraduate studio art students. He is the co-editor and co-author of five books (several about to be published) in philosophy, art, tantric spirituality, and integral studies. Co-Founder and co-director of the Comparative and Continental Philosophy Circle, which has an Annual Meeting peer-reviewed journal on Equinox Press, and a new book series with Northwestern University Press, Michael is also the Art and Aesthetics Editor for Integral Life, a participant at the private Critical Realism and Integral Theory Symposium at JFK University Fall 2011, presented at both the 2008 and 2010 Integral Theory Conferences, taught at Integral Spiritual Experience 3, as well as being a long-standing and intense integral spiritual practitioner.
