Integral Academics: An Exciting New Era

December 19, 2013

1:30 – 3:00 pm Pacific

In 2014, Meridian University is launching a number of new integral professional degree programs including:

  • a clinical concentration in Integral Psychology
  • an Integral MBA in Creative Enterprise
  • a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership

Each program is fully grounded in transformative praxis and an integral vision.

So we will be having a community call for you to come learn about what is happening at Meridian and how Meridian is building on the prior success of integral degree programs such as those at John F. Kennedy University (JFKU) and taking things to the next level.

Never before has an entire academic institution embraced the integral vision the way Meridian University is. Not only are the new programs guided by an integral approach; the University is also sourcing all of its programs within an integral context.

In higher education today there are a number of academic departments that have one or two integral scholar-practitioners in them, but those individuals often face the challenge of holding an inclusive vision that is not shared by other members of the department or the school’s leadership. This is what makes what is happening at Meridian so exciting! The entire leadership at Meridian from the President down to the Program Chairs are aligned with an integral vision.

In 2011, when I left JFKU to launch MetaIntegral, I was heartbroken that the successful online program we had created there over six years fell victim to power politics and was discontinued. Not to mention my aspirations to eventually see an integral doctorate at JFKU were dashed. My long-standing dream to create a vibrant department based on integral principles was over.

With the support of friends and colleagues, I turned my attention to building MetaIntegral and taking the value of integral theory into the mainstream through professional trainings, organizational consulting, and a public charity. I assumed that my love of integral academics was now a “past life”. That is, until I discovered what was happening at Meridian University this last June.

For the last five months I have been bringing everything I know about designing and creating top notch academic and developmental programs to bear on the new offerings Meridian is launching in January.

I am very excited to share with you what we are doing and hope that you can join us for this community call. Even if you are not needing or wanting to get a graduate degree, you are going to want to hear about how Meridian University is leading the charge on taking Integral Academics and professional application to the next level.

Join us if you can - Thursday, December 19th from 1:30 – 3:00 pm Pacific - or listen to a recording at a later date.
