Ken Wilber is the most widely translated academic writer in America. His books have been translated into some 30 foreign languages, and he is the first philosopher-psychologist to have his Collected Works published while still alive. Ken is the author of 20 books, including The Spectrum of Consciousness; The Eye of Spirit; Grace and Grit; Sex, Ecology, Spirituality; A Brief History of Everything; and The Marriage of Sense and Soul. Over the past 30 years Ken has developed Integral Theory, a highly influential approach to integral studies. He is the Founder and President of Integral Institute and lives in Denver, Colorado


Executive Editor

Sean Esbjörn-Hargens, Ph.D., is CEO of MetaIntegral Foundation; Professor and Founding Chair of the Integral Theory Program at John F. Kennedy University; and Co-founder of the biennial Integral Theory Conference. Sean is currently the most published author applying the Integral model to a variety of fields. His work has appeared in publications such as the Journal of Consciousness Studies, World Futures, and ReVision. With environmental philosopher Michael Zimmerman, Sean is the author of Integral Ecology: Uniting Multiple Perspectives on the Natural World (Integral Books, 2009). He is a practitioner of both Tibetan Buddhism and A.H. Almaas’ the Diamond Approach.


Managing Editor

Lynwood Lord is a writer and photographer based in Santa Monica, California. After turns as a medical books editor, technical writer, and GIS technician, Lyn joined Integral Institute in 2008. Prior to working with Integral Institute, Lyn spent several years helping researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, develop and promote behavioral interventions for youth and families. He has co-authored articles in journals such as Public Health Reports, the Journal of Clinical and Consulting Psychology, and Vulnerable Children and Youth Studies. His photography and travel writing have appeared in magazines such as Backpacker, Resurgence, and Budget Travel.



Brad Reynolds has been the illustrator for JITP since its inception. Brad did graduate work at the California Institute of Integral Studies before leaving to study under Ken Wilber for more than 10 years. He has authored two books, Embracing Reality: The Integral Vision of Ken Wilber (Tarcher/Penguin, 2004) and Where’s Wilber At? Ken Wilber’s Integral Vision in the New Millennium (Paragon House, 2006). Brad has been a scholar of integral studies and the perennial philosophy for most of his life and is a long-time meditator and yoga practitioner. He is currently an independent writer and graphic artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
