This issue builds on JITP’s inaugural Integral Spirituality issue (Vol. 6, No. 1) while simultaneously launching the field of Integral Religious Studies. In the editorial introduction, the guest editors clearly lay out their vision for the issue and set the stage for the evolution of the field.

First, I’d like to honor Gerard Bruitzman and thank him for his efforts in critiquing my article, "Integral Religious Studies in a Developmental Context" [free download]. Attempts at bringing a deeper understanding to the topics of spirituality and religion are of vital significance at this particular time in history.
